A festival that will celebrate the role first responders play in community safety, while also urging the public to be prepared, will be welcoming Columbia residents this fall.
It will kick off the season with a day of fun at Stephens Lake Park. The Boone County Office of Emergency Management recently announced that its Ready Festival now has a set date. It will run from the late afternoon to early evening, and it will celebrate the everyday heroes who call the community home.
The function will feature both family- and pet-friendly activities, and food will be on offer from the trucks on site. Live music will keep everyone entertained, and raffles and the prizes draws have been scheduled along with balloon twisters and face painters. K9 demonstrations, a crash simulator, and a drive for non-perishable donations to the local food bank will round out the occasion.
Community members may really appreciate an opportunity to join together for a day filled with fun. Participating not-for-profits can count on being able to obtain brochure printing and other marketing services from a professional printer.
The Boone County Ready Festival will be bringing the fun to Columbia on September 14. It will get started at 4:00 pm, and the festivities will draw to a close at 8:00 pm. Advance registration is not required to participate.
