The 63rd annual Fire in the Sky 4th of July celebration is taking place in Columbia. It is presented by the Parks and Recreation Department.
This annual event is quite popular in the city, and will entertain the entire family. It is set to feature two stages of musical entertainment; the acts who will be performing during the evening are Black Diamond, who is a Neil Diamond tribute artist; AKA Voodoo Woman; The Follow; and the Tanner Lee Band.
There will be children's activities such as an inflatable obstacle course, arts and crafts, and the pop a shot game. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
The evening's entertainment will finish off with a fireworks display set to music. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy this three-hour event.
Volunteers are still needed for this year's event, and those interested are encouraged to call the Office of Volunteer Services at 573-874-7499.
Organizers of this annual Columbia event will likely be investing in banner printing services during the planning stage. Banners can be hung over the stage to recognize sponsors or the names of the performers.
