The 56th annual Art in the Park, presented by the Columbia Art League, is taking place over two days next month.
This juried festival is expected to feature more than 110 artists from all over the United States who will be selling such items as ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, and sculpture. Artisans will compete for various awards, including Best in Show or best in their category. There will also be music, entertainment, food concessions, and a children's creative area.
One special section at the festival will be the Emerging Artist Pavilion, which will present artworks from Boone County high school and college students.
This year, a competition was held to create a new graphic, and the winning designer was Michel Marrcum from Stephen's College. This design will also be used on the festival's official T-shirt.
Artists who are planning to display and sell their artworks might decide to decorate their booths to attract more people. They could do this by investing in banner printing services from Columbia Print companies. A colorful banner hung over a booth may very well result in more sales.
Art in the Park is being held at Stephens Lake Park from June 7 to 8, beginning at 10:00 am each day. Admission is free. To learn more about the festival, call the Columbia Art League at 573-443-8838.Get a Free Quote for Print
