Global Edge, a business that develops software to help businesses manage vendors, will be decorated later this month with one of two annual Innovation Awards given by the Greater St. Cloud Development Corp. It has won in the emerging business category, and Bags a $1,000 prize for doing so.
The company, with its 15 employees, is located close to Princeton, Minnesota. Having launched five years ago, Global Edge was a spin-off from a firm that audited accounts payable. Jim Cherry, a former Marine, noticed that clients needed assistance with vendor management in order to prevent audit difficulties. He enlisted Reshma Ismail and Cheryl Patton and, with their assistance, developed the software called Vendor Lynx in partnership along with the Mayo Clinic.
According to Cherry, his company’s product helps an organization like Mayo protect its supply chain by managing its 30,000 suppliers, three campuses, and 72 sites.
Many companies that win prestigious awards choose to add this information to their Brochures or business card printing orders, so that customers are aware of previous honors the firm has received.
Global Edge will receive the award and monetary prize at the Innovation Summit on September 25. The event will take place at the River’s Edge Convention Center. Coldspring, winner in the category for established businesses, will also be honored on the day. Get a Free Quote for Brochures Get a Free Quote for Bags
