Light Up Princeton ongoing

An annual event that Princeton residents, as well as those throughout the county and beyond look forward to every Christmas season, is ongoing at the Mille Lacs County Fairgrounds.

This drive through-only event is held Thursdays through Sundays 6 PM - 9 PM through December 21 and on Christmas Eve 5:30 PM to 8 PM. The event is free, although freewill donations will be collected by volunteers for those that wish to give, and those funds will be divided between the groups Princeton Pantry and Light Up Princeton 2026. Also being collected will be non-perishable foods for the Princeton Pantry.

Poster printing services are an ideal way to advertise special events like this one in advance.

Photo ops and parking options will be available at the conclusion of the American Legion Light Up Princeton loop. Minnco Credit Union will once again have its Minnco Hot Chocolate Hut open on Fridays and Saturdays. Attendees can stay in their cars as volunteers deliver the hot chocolate to them. Half of the profits from the sale of hot chocolate will be given to Light Up Princeton 2026, with the other half being given to another non-profit group within the area.

A special activity within this event will take place on December 20, when for $20 a couple or $30 per group, attendees can enjoy Light Up Princeton via horse-drawn carriage. Premier Machine Farm & Carriage of Princeton will provide the rides, and all proceeds will be given to Light Up Princeton 2026.
