Princeton will host a Rangers & Volunteer Event this October, inviting families to explore wildlife safety and responsible pet ownership.
The program, part of the organization’s Education Department, aims to teach youth through hands-on activities that encourage compassion for animals and awareness of local ecosystems.
This month’s session focuses on wildlife and the role families play in keeping wild animals safe. Children will learn how to respond to injured or orphaned wildlife, how to support animals in their own backyards, and how everyday pet behaviors, such as roaming cats or off-leash dogs, can affect local habitats. Following the presentation, participants will join an interactive session designed to help kids practice making safe and responsible choices for both pets and wildlife.
The event is suggested for children aged 5–12, and a parent or guardian must attend with each child. There is no fee to participate, though donations are welcome to help cover material costs.
Organizers of such events may use flyer printing to promote the event, share safety guidelines, and provide take-home information for families.
The Rangers & Volunteer Event will take place on October 15 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Ruff Start Rescue, 12526 319th Avenue, Princeton. Parking is available in the paved lot in front of the building, with additional spaces on the south side of 319th Avenue if needed.
