Children to attend pet welfare education event in Princeton

Rangers and Volunteers will host the Rough Start Rescue event this July in Princeton.

Organized by the organization's education department, the event aims to educate young people through a variety of activities and services, promote animal welfare awareness, and help reduce pet homelessness in the future.

Environmental Enrichment is the theme of this year's event; the focus is on creating safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environments for pets. Just like humans, pets need favourite play areas and spaces of their own, and this program aims to help pet owners create them.

Whether pets live indoors or outdoors, participants will learn how to achieve environmental enrichment through thoughtful planning, engaging activities, and simple changes to a pet's home environment.

For this event, a parent or guardian must attend with each child participant. The recommended age range is 5 to 12 years. Organizers often turn to banner and poster printing for such events.

The event will take place on July 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, starting with a brief presentation followed by a fun-themed activity. It will be held indoors at the Rough Start Rescue office, located at 12526 319th Avenue, Princeton, MN. Free parking is available on site. More information is available on Eventbrite. The event itself is also free, but participants will need to register online via Eventbrite.
