According to Ruff Start, the additional space is needed to meet the rising demand for its services. This year 1,756 surgeries were performed at the facility and over 3,000 animals rescued. Moreover, the rescue group served more than 1,000 individuals through its education program during that time frame. Year-to-year owner surrender applications have grown significantly with September 2024 having 361 applications, up from 251 in the same month in 2023.
Nonprofits find working with poster printing services enables them to promote their services as well as being useful for fundraising.
The executive director and founder of Ruff Start Rescue, Azure Davis, explained the need for the extra space to “Bring Me The News” saying:
“Our passion for saving lives is stronger than ever, but we’ve reached a point where our limited space is holding us back.”
The Ruff Start Rescue addition is budgeted at $160,000 and will include more storage space for keeping supplies and donations. Also, a parking area within the building with an overhead door will be added that will keep animals safe when being rescued and brought to the facility. The expansion will also allow the shelter to increase veterinary services particularly low cost spay and neutering services.
The expansion is expected to be finished by the end of January 2025.
