Fairmont will be welcoming fall with an event that will see shoppers refresh themselves while they support local small businesses.
Only 300 tickets are available for the annual Sip and Shop, which will raise funds for the Holiday Street Light Fund and other events that will be held in the community. At least 21 establishments have signed up, and a registration station will be set up in Citizens Park.
Those who register for the afternoon will be treated to snacks and sips at the participating businesses, and many will have special sales on offer in honor of the occasion. Prize draws are also on the agenda, and there may be some surprises along the way. It is for those age 21 and up only. As of the time of writing, the Fairmont Chamber of Commerce was still accepting registrations from the general public.
Sip and stroll events provide a fun way for a community to encourage residents and visitors to get out and explore all its business have to offer. Maps and other materials for a function can be designed and printed by area printing services.
Fairmont will be kicking off the fall retail season with its Sip and Shop on Thursday, September 12. It will run from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and a registration link has been included in its listing.
