Fairmont Bass Seekers B.A.S.S. Nation Club and the Fairmont Early Riser Kiwanis Club have teamed up to bring local kids a day of fishing at a local park.
These two community service groups have invited families to be part of its Kids All American Fishing Derby. The event will be held in Gomsrud Park Fairmont, and it will introduce the younger set to how much fun the sport can be while their parents or guardians look on .
The celebration will take place in the morning on its scheduled date, and it is for kids from the ages of 5 to 16. They will need to be accompanied by an adult, and while there will be a limited supply of rods and other gear available for the youngster to use, it is recommended that participants bring their own if they can. A casting contest is on the agenda for the morning, and there will be prize draws as well.
Locally based events can help foster community engagement and cohesiveness. Organizers of these activities will be able to obtain everything from flyer printing services to awards and other Corporate Gifts at a professional printer.
The Kids All American Fishing Derby will welcome the newest generation of fishers on Saturday, June 3, starting at 8:30 am. The fun will keep on going until it wraps up 12:00 pm.
