Musical siblings to highlight holidays in Edina

The O’Neill Brothers Holiday Show will be performing in Edina this December - this time, presenting a full weekend of piano music and song to celebrate the festive season.

The Brothers will be performing a number of holiday standards as well as Celtic folk standards. The Minnesota-born duo of Tim and Ryan O’Neill, also known as the Pianissimo Brothers, have become widely known for their combination of classical and Celtic stylings.

They will be performing with a cast of other musicians and vocalists, including the O’Neill Sisters (no relation), a trio of internationally known singers from County Kerry, Ireland. The Brothers’ holiday concert has become a popular attraction, with last year’s shows selling out months in advance.

Proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit the O’Neill Foundation of Hope, which provides financial support to families going through difficult times.

Each show will run for approximately two hours. This includes a 15-minute intermission, and features original compositions in addition to covers of holiday standards, Irish classics, and other songs, along with storytelling and humour.

The holiday season is a popular time for special concerts contributing to charity or just the general festive spirit, often promoted through poster printing, radio advertising, and other grassroots methods.

The O’Neill Brothers Holiday Show will take place at the Edina Performing Arts Center on the evening of December 20 and the afternoons of December 21 and 22.
