The event will see participants run, walk, or jog across a five kilometer course winding through the city of Shakopee. The run will be untimed, and designed to have a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The course will end in a post-run celebration with live music, prize giveaways, and other activities.
All ages and skill levels are welcome to be part of the event. All runners will receive a collector’s pint glass or other “swag item”, in addition to a complementary craft beverage. Runs and other athletic events often use special Promotional Products or clothing to provide keepsakes of the accomplishment.
The Minnesota Brewery Running Series aims to highlight smaller craft breweries and taprooms with friendly runs, drawing in runners from nearby areas like Edina. Mana Brewing is on the circuit for the first year after opening in 2022, featuring craft beer and stone-fired pizza. A portion of all proceeds go towards local nonprofits. Organizers have written:
“Our mission is to be active, have fun, and give back! In addition to pairing some exercise and good beer, a portion of all proceeds go back to local non-profits.”
The Mana Brewing edition of the Minnesota Brewery Running Series will take place on August 9, beginning and ending at the brewery’s taproom in Shakopee.
