The annual Edina benefit concert Band Together will take place this September to raise money for youth mental health.
The show will be a free concert headlined by local rock act The Teardowns. The band is an Edina-based cover group that plays music from the 1970s to the modern era, including multiple vocal harmonies. There will also be a spotlight for student musicians, with performances by Julia Wissink and Eloise Leckrone. There will be free parking provided nearby at the North, South & Center Ramps.
Band Together is part of the 50th & France Summer Concert Series, which aims to provide family-friendly music and encourage guests to come to the neighbourhood. Attendees are invited to bring food from surrounding eateries and otherwise spread out and enjoy themselves in the outdoor setting. Concert series like this often use flyer printing and local radio advertising to attract an audience.
The concert will also be collecting donations for the Edina Education Fund. The organization supports district-wide programs to support mental health, wellness, and other programs in local schools, including benevolence funding for underinsured and uninsured faculty and students. The group is looking to raise $120, 000 for the 2026-27 school year through this and other fundraising initiatives.
The 2026 edition of Band Together will take place on the evening of September 4 at The Plaza at Nolan Mains in Edina.
