Gallery to usher in floral art

Friends of the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Galleria will host a preview party for the group’s latest ‘Art in Bloom’ exhibit.

Art In Bloom is a concept that refers to the use of flora in artwork. The preview event happens the day before the main exhibit begins, and its aim is to usher in the spring season and celebrate the 100th year anniversary of Friends’ supporting the Institute.

For the celebration, the event will have a diamond-anniversary theme. In addition to original art pieces, guests can look forward to live music and a fashion show that features Galleria retailers.

The Galleria will not require facemasks to enter the property for persons who are fully vaccinated, however individual retailers may have their own safety requirements for their space. Attendees are asked to be mindful of these while navigating the venue.

Guests will have the option to attend the party as a supporter. The price for this will vary and depends on the sponsorship preference of guests. The starting price begins at $250. Further information can be found on the Institute’s website. Supporters and patrons will receive drink tickets, finger foods, and dinner.

Brochure printing can offer insightful background information on art pieces. The event begins on Wednesday, April 27 at 5:30 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. The Galleria is located at 69th Street & France Avenue Edina, Minnesota 55435.
