Fundraiser to be held in Edina

The Salgi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation will host a fundraiser this August in Edina.

The 3rd Annual Frank Pasquerella Memorial Esophageal Cancer Walk/Run aims to raise awareness, prompt early detection, and help to fund esophageal cancer research. The event offers both virtual and in-person participation options. The proceeds from the event will benefit Foundation, which is a leading research-based nonprofit organization.

Esophageal cancer has been one of the fastest-growing cancers in the United States and the Western world over the past 40 years. Symptoms often manifest late, after the cancer has spread to lymph nodes and other organs, which can reduce the impact of treatments.

Ticket prices for the in-person event are $20 if bought in advance, or $25 on the day of the event. Kids aged 12 or younger are admitted free. Those who cannot attend the event can still make a difference by donating. Additionally, they can become an official event sponsor to support the cause. For more information and to register, patrons may visit the official website at salgi.org.

Brochure printing can be helpful to provide data facts to attendees at events such as this one.

The event takes place on August 19 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Centennial Lakes Park in Edina. Those unable to attend in person can participate virtually on either August 19 or 20.
