Edina students to enter Shark Tank once more

The Edina Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Edina Public School District to foster and support Edina High School (EHS) students’ talents and innovative ideas and turn them into thriving businesses. Now in its fourth year, the organizers will be presenting the students’ ideas on the ABC Network show Shark Tank.

The event offers Edina High School students a platform to showcase their class-developed innovative products, services, business ideas, and logo designs to a panel of “Sharks.” Here, they will be competing for the prestigious Edina Shark Tank Champion Title and other cash prizes.

The “Sharks” will be Patrick E. Donohue, who is the CEO and Managing Partner of Hill Capital Corporation; Annette Wildenauer, who is the Chief Innovation Officer at Edina Innovation Lab; and Tomme Beevas, the Founder and Chief Strategic Officer of Pimento Jamaican Kitchen.

In collaboration with EHS, the Edina Innovation Lab, successful business professionals, investors, and local entrepreneurs will also be present to help open doors for these young prospective entrepreneurs. The event presents an opportunity for successful entrepreneurs to mentor these students, who could make valuable contributions to the Edina business community in the near future.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 2 from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm and will be held at the Edina High School. Tickets for the event retail at $10 plus fees per adult, while students will attend for free.
