An annual event is coming around again in Edina.
This is the 6th year that the Kentucky Derby and Twin Cities Party will be taking place. It will be put on by First Thursday Happy Hour and will be celebrating “The Run of Roses.” The occasion is considered to be a party that celebrates dresses, elegant hats, seersuckers, and mint juleps. It honors the 149th Kentucky Derby and the traditions of Churchill Downs Racetrack.
At the event, individuals will be able to stroll down a red carpet and get their photos taken. There will also be a unique menu, one that will allow individuals to partake in different whiskies, bourbons, and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to watch sports on a large television.
There will also be prize giveaways to the best dressed at the event, totaling over $500. Paid ticket prices will be between $20 and $35. However, volunteer attendees can attend for free. A part of the money made from ticket sales will be used to help the Newborn Foundation.
