A collaborative workshop is taking place in Edina this January.
The Creativity Plus Collaboration workshop’s featured speaker will be Stephanie Watson, the creator of Everyday Creative Studio. This workshop offers a hands-on experience aimed at dispelling the misconception that only certain people can be creative. It addresses six factors hindering both collective and individual creativity, and employs strategies such as drawing exercises and improv games to break these barriers.
Participants will grasp how arts-based activities can enhance collaboration and communication, while also exploring methods to transform workplace culture towards one that champions creativity, connectivity, and mutual support.
This workshop is for individuals occupying roles historically perceived as non-creative, such as account or project managers. Simultaneously, it is also for those traditionally categorized as being creative —like designers, art directors, writers, and photographers. Solo practitioners operating as "teams of one" and team leaders seeking to cultivate a more creative work environment will also discover valuable insights within this workshop.
The cost to attend the event will be $199 for members and $250 for non-members. Tickets can be bought through the Mima.org listing. Poster printing can be a great way to highlight the workshop agenda at events such as this one.
It takes place Thursday, January 14, from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. The location will be at The Nerdery, 7700 France Avenu. S., Ste. 286, Edina.
