The Edina Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Blizzard Bash event this February, aiming to provide entertainment and networking potential amidst the depths of the Minnesota winter.
Attendees are invited to wear their best “blizzard cozy” outfits, including layers and pyjamas, with the goal of mimicking a warm night in a cabin or winter retreat. Food at the event will be provided by Chef Sina Taheri, while drink offers include Edina Liquor’s Signature Sips, a curated wine selection, and a signature cocktail. Visitors can have photos taken in front of a festive winter backdrop, or take each other on in a friendly game of ring toss.
The event is one of several hosted by the Chamber annually with the goal of connecting people in Edina for both friendship and business opportunities. Networking events like this range from formal to casual and often involve trading Business Cards and social media handles for further discussion. The organization’s mission statement identifies the wide range of professions that could be represented at events like the Blizzard Bash, noting that the Chamber consists of:
“…a cross section of member businesses ranging from sole proprietors to large corporations and conglomerates. With nearly 300 members, we represent the voice of over 4,000 companies in Edina and partner with diverse business organizations in the city.”
The Blizzard Bash will take place at the Westin Edina Galleria on the evening of Thursday, February 13.
