Twin Cities Comic Con will be returning this November, hoping to attract pop culture enthusiasts from nearby areas such as Edina and St. Paul.
The convention aims to celebrate film, TV, comics, games, and other “nerdy” hobbies. There will be a number of celebrity guests appearing to meet and greet with fans, including actor Hayden Christensen, pro wrestler Sting, and voice actor Tom Kenny. There will also be spaces for exhibitors and artists to showcase their wares, offering everything from rare collectibles to custom-made artwork. Vendor names include Amazing Pop Culture Podcast, Professionally Silly Art, and Gold Roger’s Pirate Booty.
The three days will also feature a number of special events and panels hosted by fans, experts, and special guests. Fans can enter costume contests in a variety of categories. Comedian Brian Posehn will be performing, and things will no doubt get rowdy during the Twin Cities After Dark programming. This year’s convention will also feature the debut of “Party Rooms,” hosted by attendees with snacks, games, and activities to go throughout the night. Conventions like this, often promoted through eye-catching flyer printing and social media, emerged out of fan meet-ups and today are a destination for major celebrities and Hollywood announcements.
The 2024 Twin Cities Con will take place from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
