A fun event is coming back to Chanhassen after being sidelined for two years.
Paisley Park, the production facility and estate of the late musician Prince, will be the venue for the upcoming event, 2022 Celebration.
The event begins on a Thursday, when a new mural dedicated to the legendary artist will be unveiled in downtown Minneapolis. Celebration attendees will be able to attend a private party at one of Prince’s favorite hotels, W Minneapolis – The Foshay. Lenka Paris, who was Princes DJ, will be on hand, and dancing, a photo booth, and signature cocktails are planned.
Friday events at Paisley Park include concerts by Mazarati and BrownMark, who worked with Prince. Saturday a film of a 1992 Glam Slam concert with Prince and some of The New Power Generation members will be shown on the big screen.
At Paisley Park on Friday and Saturday, celebrity panels featuring artis who worked with Prince will give attendees a chance to hear talks by artists including Carmen Electra, photographer Randee St. Nicholas, and Mayte Garcia, who was Prince’s former wife. VIPs will enjoy a recording session at Studio A.
The weekend will finish with a Jazz Brunch on Sunday featuring gospel artists The Steeles, who will perform at the Dakota Jazz Club.
The 2022 Celebration will begin June 2 and end June 5, giving Prince fans a four-day “party” to enjoy and honor his music and his legacy. Using brochure printing, organizers of events like this can create informative material for people attending the occasion.
