From gym to art gallery in Chanhassen

Turning the gymnasium into a temporary art gallery is the project the Chanhassen Recreation Center will perform in preparation for the fall Artisan Fair.

Over 35 local artists will have work on display at the show that includes pottery, painting, photography, woodcraft, and jewelry.

A call is out for artists to join the Artisan Fair, where the focus will be on the skills and talent of locals. The artists will be made to feel welcome while creating an interesting and exciting experience for visitors.

Exhibitors often call upon local Print shops to assist with materials needed for a successful show. Banner printing creates signage depicting the products offered by the vendor. Business card printing ensures contact information is readily available for future dealings.

Exhibitor fees include a six-foot table and one chair. Additional tables may be rented for $25 each, if needed. Setup for exhibitors starts at 8:00 am. All exhibitors must be out of the facility by 4:00 pm.

Attendance admission is free. Organizers are asking visitors to bring nonperishable food items to the show. The donations will be given to a local food pantry.

The Art Show will take place at Chan Rec Center on November 2, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. The center is located at 2310 Coulter Boulevard. For more details, visit the website.
