The Chanhassen Dinner Theatres will be the place to go to see “Christmas on the Prairie,” the fifth year for the event. Featured vocalists are Boyd Lee, Aimée Lee, and Mary Jane Alm. In addition, Peter Johnson, Joe Savage, Gary Raynor, and Richard Kriehn – all of whom are regulars from the Prairie Home Companion, a popular weekly radio show hosted for years by comedian Garrison Keillor – will be on hand. The special guest for the evening is Pat Donohue, a Grammy-winning guitarist/vocalist. Legendary guitarist Chet Atkins appears with Donohue on two versions of the latter’s song “Stealin’ from Chet,” and experience Donohue treasures.
The performs will present songs like “Winter Wonderland,” “Run Run Rudolph,” “Away in a Manger,” “O Holy Night,” “Winter Song,” and Sleigh Ride,” ranging from popular music to classic carols. When events like this are planned, organizers can use brochure printing to create programs for the audience, listing the songs and giving background on the musicians.

The event is set for the Fireside Theatre in the Chanhassen Theatres complex on December 21, 22, and 23. Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm, with the show following at 8:15 pm. On December 21, there will be lunch at 11:00 am with a performance at 1:00 pm.
