Local jazz singer Ginger Commodore will be featured in the upcoming Hot Buttered Soul dinner show performance at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. Other performers joining her include Jesse Larson, Dennis Spears, Ashley Commodore, and Dennis Spears.
Jazz is a genre known for its soulful ballads and timeless qualities. Famous songs will be brought to this event including “What’s Going on,” “At Last,” “People Get Ready,” “I’ll Take you There,” “Betcha by Golly Wow” and several other well-known hits. Numbers from Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Betty Right, and Otis Redding will also be in the line-up of music.
The entity began in 1968 when it was built on cornfields and developed into a 90,000 square foot theatre. Chanhassen Dinner Theatres has typically hosted over 300 people every night for years. The staff is led by Artistic Director Michael Brindisi with the staff being comprised of actors, design teams, crews, and musicians.
