Chanhassen brings gusto to seniors

Presented by the City of Chanhassen, Aging with Gusto in the Time of COVID will be presented in a few weeks.

The event explores how society prefers youth over aging, and how to overcome the perspective while living the best life in times of challenge. The class will be presented in three sessions. The segments will feature balancing quality of life amidst the pandemic and other risks, and how difficult times can affect aging through negative thoughts.

The classes will be offered virtually through Zoom, so they can be taken in the comfort and safety of the home or other personal spaces. They will also be offered at the local senior center through the Zoom feed.

Frequently graphic design is used to create vibrant and colorful presentations that will be given in a virtual platform. Logos, images, and other designs can be incorporated into presentations, as well as used to feature speakers and sponsors.

During the course sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to devise a personal aging plan that incorporates thoughts, actions and resources. The program was designed to provide an emotional boost for seniors as well as create fun and motivation for adventure.

The Aging with Gusto in the Time of COVID sessions will take place February 11 through February 25 on Thursdays. It will begin at 10:00 am and conclude at noon each day, and guests must be 55 or older to attend. If attending in person, the Chanhassen Senior Center is located at 7700 Market Blvd.
