Perfect ski weather comes to Burnsville

Ski enthusiasts from Burnsville and the surrounding area recently had a reason to celebrate.

After a late fall and early winter with mild weather and not much of “the white stuff”, a significant snowfall has occurred. This came as welcome news to those both those who operate ski hills and those who enjoy gliding down the slopes.

The state experienced temperatures in December that were warmer than usual, which made it difficult to make enough snow to keep the slopes open for skiing or snowboarding.

According to Tom Schultz, who is a spokesperson for Buck Hill in Burnsville, the cold snap and natural snowfall comes at a good time, as it allowed students who were home for their holiday break and their families to enjoy spending some time together out on the ski hill. A printing company can produce promotional Drinkware, such as insulated coffee Mugs, thermal carafes, and other items that have been custom printed with the ski hill’s logo. These are something that anyone who is looking for a way to warm up while they are having fun outdoors will likely appreciate.

Shultz further went on to say that in an ‘El Nino’ year such as this one, colder temperatures are not usually expected, so the recent weather came as a welcome surprise.

The National Weather Service reports that the cooler weather is expected to last for at least the early part of January.
