The business community will be celebrated next month at the Yancey County Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala in Burnsville.
The Chamber represents and advocates for small business across the county and provides education, services, and resources for its members.
The upcoming gala event will include the introduction of the new Chamber board of directors, a presentation of business awards, a featured guest speaker, an Italian meal, and a silent auction.
Former Burnsville mayor Danny McIntosh will address the members and guests. McIntosh is known to be an ardent supporter of the community who will reflect on the city's growth and on those who figure prominently in its future.
Four special awards will be presented that will recognize the business of the year, emerging business of the year, non-profit organization of the year, and the community impact award for an individual, business, or group that has demonstrated leadership and has made a notable contribution for the benefit of Yancey County.
The evening will also offer ample opportunity for guests to mingle with other business owners and community leaders. Entrepreneurs who attend networking events such as this often ensure they have Business Cards available as part of promoting their business.
The Yancey County Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala will be held on Tuesday, April 7 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Burnsville Town Center. Tickets and further information is available on the Chamber website.
