The 2025 Twin Cities Walk to End Hydrocephalus will be held at Buck Hill in Burnsville next month.
Presented by the Hydrocephalus Association (HA), the fundraising walks take place annually in about 40 communities across the country. Non-profit groups that organize events such as this often rely on printing services to produce their promotional materials.
Abnormal accumulation of fluid in the brain causes the condition known as hydrocephalus, which affects more than one million Americans. It can be found in children and adults of all ages but is primarily in people over 60 years of age. The money raised by the HA walks goes towards medical research, support for patients and families as well as public education and awareness.
The society has a 2025 national fundraising goal of $1,918,500. The Burnsville event aims to raise $41,000.
The walk route will be 3 km and all ages are welcome to take part, as well as leashed, well-behaved pets. There will be a post-race meet and greet including kids activities and team photos. Participants who reach certain fund-raising levels can receive recognition gifts such as an event T-shirt.
The 2025 Twin Cities Walk to End Hydrocephalus will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Buck Hill Ski Resort in Burnsville. Registration opens at 8:30 am and the walk begins at 10:15 am.
