Burnsville chamber presents awards during small business week

The Burnsville Chamber of Commerce will recognize top achievers at its small business week celebrations next month.

A midday program will include the presentation of awards to those who have had a positive impact on the community. The chamber will recognize the volunteer of the year, businessperson of the year, ambassador of the year and entrepreneur of the year.

The event will also feature Bruce Nustad, president of both the Minnesota and Wisconsin Retailers Alliances, as keynote speaker. In advocating for retailers, Nustad collaborates with lawmakers, shareholders and government representatives on policies that encourage local business and economic activities.

Nustad’s presentation, The Changing Customer: What Small Businesses Need to Know, will give the audience tips about today’s consumer trends and their effect on business.

The event will include a buffet luncheon and is open to both chamber members and guests. Following the formal program, there will be a social hour to celebrate the award recipients. Business leaders often seek out business card printing services to ensure they are prepared for this type of networking opportunity.

The chamber small business week celebration will be held May 7, 2026, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Steak and Ale Restaurant at the Wyndham Nicollet Inn in Burnsville. Tickets, including lunch, are $50 for members, while the cost for non-members is $65.
