Burnsville birders will be treated to a festival planned with them in mind, and it will give the whole family a way to both learn and interact with the world around them.
Detroit Lakes will soon be celebrating the return of the Festival of Birds, and the agenda for the event is filled with outings and other events. It was explained that the region is a haven for many species, as it offers both deciduous and coniferous trees, as well as tallgrass prairie habitats.
The festivities will open with a pontoon birding tour with light bites, and after this, the schedule of visits to various birding sites will begin. Along with the avian species, the participants can expect to see various types of insects and mammals, as well as plants. Boots are recommended as there may be some wetlands included in the outing. There are lots of other activities on offer, ranging from guest lecturers to dinners and meet and greets.
