The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is taking place in Skakopee on weekends only from August until September. This popular festival attracts over 280,000 visitors to the area each year.
Each weekend will have a different theme, two of which are Highland Fling and Ye Olde Pet Fest. There are a wide variety of activities and events planned for fans of Renaissance living.
No fewer than 16 stages will be providing entertainment, including dance and music. Visitors can take rides on elephants, llamas, camels, and ponies, or they can get physical with archery, a climbing wall, darts, and a maze. Those who are more sedentary can take part in a pub crawl. There will also be jousting tournaments held, and more than 250 artisans will be selling their homemade works of art.
This event is no doubt highly advertised in the area and attracts visitors from all over, including nearby Burnsville. Local brochure printers may be asked to provide Booklets, which would then be distributed to the community through various means.
The event is being held on weekends from August 16 to September 28 from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm each day. Tickets are $19.95 per day for adults or $11.50 for children between the ages of 5 and 12; season's passes are also available for $89.95 and $50.95.
