Due to an overwhelming number of requests from the public, the Burnsville YMCA and its local Chamber of Commerce will once again be holding a session of its speed networking workshops.
The luncheon will equip those who participate with a set of skills they can use when they network for business or personal reasons. This faced-paced event will give tips on how to start the conversation, how to keep it going, and also effective methods of following up.
Participants will also have an opportunity to put what they have learned into practice by networking with other Chamber members, and a goal has been set for attendees to be able to meet and connect with at least 15-20 other professionals during the function.
The ticket price for the workshop will be $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The meal will be catered, and members are reminded that if they bring along a guest, that person will be able to take advantage of the lower ticket price. The networking event will take place on May 18 in the YMCA. All those who plan on coming out are reminded to bring along their Business Cards and be ready to fill up their Calendars with meeting dates with their new business contacts.
