Community to end the summer with festival

A huge festival is coming to Burnsville, and invites everyone to take part.

The Burnsville Fire Muster is a four-day event with activities for

all ages. Poster printing is one method that was likely used to help promote the festival.

Individuals can take part in a treasure hunt where they can search for a medallion in the city park and turn it in for a prize. Residents may also want to check out the city block party where attendees can enjoy food and socialize.

Locals won’t want to miss the Community and Fire Truck Parade. Other highlights include beer tastings, a sports night, bingo, music, big wheel races, and a carnival. In addition, children can enjoy inflatables at the Kidz Korner.

Throughout the festival, there will be a wide variety of demonstrations including kitchen fire prevention and a police canine show. There will also be a fire truck water display. Finally, professionals can check out the business expo.

On the last morning of the festival, there will be a ‘Heart of the City’ 10K run, a 5K run and walk, and 1K kids' run. Registration costs $35 for the 10K, $25 for the 5K, and $5 for the kids' run. Then, at night, there will be a fireworks display.

The events will take place from September 8 through September 12 at the Civic Center, local parks, and various other locations in Burnsville.
