Burnsville to host plant sale and tool swap

Gardening enthusiasts in Burnsville have been invited to attend a local event that will be centered around home horticulture.

The community will be offering the public an opportunity to do some browsing, swapping and buying at its Garden Tool Swap Day and Native Plant Sale. This event may be especially appreciated by the thrifty gardener, with the swap taking place directly across the street from the sale.

The venue for the tool swap will be the Dakota Valley Recycling Center, and everyone can stop by with their used gardening tools and decor to make a trade. They can then head over to the plant sale, and here, they will find species and cultivars that have local provenance and are well suited to the growing conditions typically found in Burnsville and the surrounding areas.

Both events will run from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.

The summer is a popular time of the year for outdoor events like this one. Poster printing companies can be tasked with preparing signage and other items that are suitable for use outside.

The Native Plant Market, along with the opportunity to make an exchange at the Garden Tool Swap Day event, will be on offer on Saturday, May 18. Everyone is welcome, and the plant sale will be held in the parking area at 100 Civic Center Parkway, Burnsville.
