This summer, Burnsville will be hosting a special event that celebrates cultures from all over the world.
The International Festival of Burnsville will take place in the Nicollet Commons Park, and there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
There will be world music and dancing, a raffle, and food from a variety of different countries. The public is invited to take part in the activities, such as hair braiding, face painting, henna hands, balloon twisting, crazy hair, or they can try their hand at making a family craft or origami.
Funding for the festival comes, in part, through a grant from Metropolitan Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board. Local businesses and organizations are also welcome to sponsor the event, and with an estimated attendance of over 4,000 visitors, it provides an opportunity to reach a wide group of potential customers. The International festival of Burnsville has been scheduled, rain or shine, for July 18 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm in Nicollet Commons Park.
