It can sometimes take a little bit of motivation to get up and get moving, and a Burnsville area event will provide this encouragement during an upcoming fundraising day.
The team at 9 Mile Brewing Company will be hosting the Halloween Spooktacular 5k, which will be a non-competitive event that welcomes runners and walkers of all skill levels. It will celebrate the arrival of Halloween weekend, and the course has been mapped out so that the route will be fun for the attendees.
Whether they want to walk, jog, run, or roll along in a mobility device, all those who sign up for the activity will be treated to a cold beer at the finish line. They can also choose from an assortment of Promotional Products from the Brewery Running Series, and there will be door prize draws as well. Anyone who would like to add even more fun to the occasion can wear a costume, and live music and other entertainment is on the agenda.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to local causes. So far, the MN Brewery Running Series has been able to raise more than $300,000 for area not for profits.
The Halloween Spooktacular 5k is on the way for October 28th. Nine Mile Brewing will serve as the staging area, and it can be found at 9555 James Avenue South.
