The city of Burnsville will soon be devising it list of recipients for the 2016 Burnsville Community Builder Award, and it is seeking the public’s input.
The city is looking for the names of people who have made a difference in the community and those who live there. This can include such actions as improving neighborhoods, engaging in acts of bravery, environmental stewardship, youth leadership, volunteering, and organizing events for the public.
Those who wish to nominate someone to be presented with the distinction are asked to either complete an application or prepare a letter that gives the name of the individual, details of how to contact them, and the reasons why the nominator feels they should be honored. Completed applications or letters can be mailed to Community Builder Award, City of Burnsville, 100 Civic Center Parkway, Burnsville, MN 55337
Nominations must be received by no later than Friday, September 2, and the awards will be presented during the October 18 meeting of the city council.
