An event is on the way for the Burnsville area that will make the past come alive.
The Minnesota Renaissance Festival will soon be back for its 47th year, and it offers lots to see and do for all ages. More 300 people in period costume will be on hand for the occasion, and everyone from the King and Queen to the town beggar will be walking the grounds and answering any questions the public may have.
Along with those in costume, there will be more than 250 booths with artisans offering a huge assortment of handcrafts and other items for sale. Sixteen stages will be set up to keep the crowd entertained, and there will be jousting tournaments and plenty of food as well. Beer and wine, as well as other beverages, will be available for purchase, and the whole event has been planned as a family friendly way to spend a day. A local printing company will be able to work with the organizers of an attraction such as this to provide them with a wide assortment of printed materials that fit into its overall theme.
The fair will be open each weekend from August 19th until October 1st, and it will also be open for the Labor Day holiday and also a special day for students and seniors. It is located at 12364 Chestnut Blvd in Shakopee, and anyone who is interested in learning more is invited to visit its website.
