Going door to door shelling out candy and other treats in costume makes Halloween a lot of fun for many, and this sort of experience is on the agenda for the Burnsville area.
Families from a wide area will be heading to Richfield so they can enjoy its Halloween Trunk or Treat activity. While it has been planned as a fun evening, it will also have a higher purpose. It will serve as a food drive for Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP) and will be distributed to those in need through its various initiatives.
The event will see kids go trick or treating at the various displays set up by local businesses, and they are reminded to bring along a pillowcase or other container to hold all their goodies. Costumes are welcome, and to help add to the spooky atmosphere, a hearse will be parked on site.
The organizers of the day are looking to offer multiple perks for area businesses. They will be able to connect with the community as they distribute Promotional Products, Flyers, and other items, all with no charge to participate.
This Trunk or Treat celebration will kick off at 4:00 pm on October 15. It will be held at Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel in Richfield, which has provided support for the event.
