Fishing is a hobby almost any age and ability can enjoy, and Burnsville families will be offered an opportunity to learn the basics when they take part in an August activity.
Thanks to a partnership between Burnsville Parks and Recreation and Minnesota Trout Unlimited, local parents and kids will be able to get started fishing with a spinning reel. The Saturday afternoon session will be fun for all ages, and the new crop of anglers will be able to meet some experienced fishers.
The two-hour workshop will be taking place in Tyacke Park, and the participants will learn everything from how to bait their hook and set up their rod, to tying on a fly and casting out their line. The materials will all be provided to the group, and participants should note that Minnesota state fishing licenses will be required for all registrants age 16 and up.
A recreational workshop provides a chance for families who play together to stay together. Waivers and other documents that take care of the business side of an activity like this can be prepared by Stationery printers at an affordable price.
This afternoon of fishy fun is on the way to Burnsville on Saturday, August 19. It will begin at 2:00 pm, and the fee for the session has been set at $10.
