Burnsville is a city that shines throughout the year, and thanks to a popular November tradition, this can be especially true during the holiday season.
The community will once again be illuminated with thousands of twinkling lights as part of the annual Heart of the City celebration. The event will kick off with a lighting ceremony in Nicollet Commons Park, and some very special guests form the North Pole have been scheduled to make an appearance.
The organizers of the festivities remarked that there will be more than 200,000 mini lights as well as 230 streetlight snowflakes and a 30 foot tall lit evergreen that will be helping to add some extra brightness to the holidays. The lighting ceremony will include a visit from Mr. and Mrs. S. Claus, and there will be other entertainment and light refreshments served.
This event can offer fun for the whole family, and there is plenty of free parking available.
