While winter may not seem like a time of the year when golf can be played outside, a Burnsville course is set to turn that idea on its head.
Birnamwood Golf Course will be turning its snowy greens and fairways into routes for the golfers, and tee times are available throughout the day. As the function will take place outdoors, everyone who Signs up is reminded to dress appropriately for the weather, and there will be ways to warm up while the golfers play through.
The course will be the venue for Winter Golf, which will see the players take to the green to try their luck at shooting dodgeballs into specially painted holes that will be prepared just for the activity. Food trucks will be serving up hot food and drinks to help keep everyone warm.
Golf is usually thought of as a game best enjoyed during the warmer part of the year, but this outside-the-box activity will show it can be played even in the middle of winter. Hole flags, sponsorship packages, and signage that welcomes the attendees can be prepared for an event by area banner printing companies.
