The thrill of biting into a freshly picked cob of corn dripping in melted butter is the inspiration behind a popular Burnsville area summer celebration.
Valley Fair has set the date for its 2024 Corn Fest, which is billed as offering a “shucking” good time for everyone who comes out. It will celebrate this important commercial crop, and admission to the festivities will be free with paid admission to the park.
The function will include all sorts ways to have fun, and true fans of this popular summertime treat can enter the corn eating contest. Local bands and other performers will provide the live entertainment, and there will be special games set up in honor of the occasion. Corn-themed food will be available for purchase.
