The Midwest Seabee Ball Committee has noted that its last three balls were so popular, it will be bringing it back for another year, and people from Burnsville are welcome to be among its guests.
Members of the United States Naval Construction Battalions often go by the affectionate nickname of ‘Seabees’, and it is a group that often Forms tight connections between its members.
Whether they are currently serving or have done so in the past, Seabees from all over the Midwest are encouraged to attend the upcoming event. It will both celebrate the heritage of the various battalions and look to the future of the branch, while giving members a chance to connect with one another in a fun atmosphere.
The planners of the function explained that they are hoping many Seabees from World War II and the Korean conflict will be a part of the celebration, and to help make this possible, their ticket price will be covered. It will be a formal occasion, and everyone who supports the branch is welcome, whether or not they have served.
An occasion like this can bring people together to enjoy memories, share stories and build new friendships. The organizers can work with a banner printing company, which will be able to provide suitable decor for the function.
This salute to Seabees of the past, present and future will be held on March 16. The Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington will be hosting the affair.
