Burnsville and surrounding areas invited to celebrate

The community of Burnsville will once again be bidding summer a fond farewell during its annual Fire Muster.

The event, which draws people from a wide area, will feature plenty to see and do for all ages. An assortment of carnival-style rides will be set up for the celebration, and there will be special activities for the smaller kids as well. The adults in the crowd can sample the local wines and craft beers that will be on tap, and area restaurants will be serving up some of their favorites. Emergency personnel will be giving demonstrations of how they perform their first responder duties, and the whole event will be capped off with the traditional parade of both people and fire trucks that first drew the community together back in 1980, when it first began.

Those who wish to become even more involved with this celebration of all that makes Burnsville special are welcome to apply to serve as a volunteer, participate in the parade, or set up shop as a vendor. According to the organizers, all assistance will be welcomed.
