This winter, Burnsville residents can expect to see some unique toboggans taking to the sled runs on Buck Hill. The 22nd annual Slumberland Furniture Bedrace for Bridging will soon be making its return, and everyone is welcome to get involved.
This annual fundraiser helps to combat poverty in the local area, and it tends to attract a large crowd. Teams of four will be climbing aboard specially covered mattresses for their slide down the hill, and fun and laughter will be the order of the day.
Participants are encouraged to really get into the spirit of the occasion by wearing a team costume. Monies raised through the registration fees, sponsorships and other means will be donated to Bridging, a not-for-profit organization that assists more than 5,000 local families in need.

Bedrace for Bridging will be taking place on March 14th, kicking off at 5:00 pm, and will be held at 15400 Buck Hill Road. The organizers noted that they wished to thank Cities 97 for its support.
