The Baldwin will open in Shelby Township later this year.
This is the latest concept from the Baldwin Restaurant Group and the one that is the third in the group. It will be on Van Dyke Avenue with Gabriella Baldwin as managing partner and executive chef.
Baldwin brings deep culinary experience to the new establishment, having graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and cooked in several restaurants in New York City. She has competed on the Food Network 10 times and is a contributor to the Local Pour column of Macomb Now.
Although a formal menu has not been released, guests can expect progressive, new American dishes with subtle influences of a European café. Other restaurants in the group offer a similar style of cuisine, featuring entrées such as cauliflower steak, chicken Milanese, and braised ribs. A full selection of drinks will be available as well.
The community can be informed of such new eateries and kept abreast of their progress through various printing services.
Testa Barra in Macomb and J Baldwin’s in Clinton Township are also managed by the group. Chef James Baldwin started the company in 2004. He has over 30 years’ experience in the culinary industry and has cooked for such historic events as the second inauguration of President Ronald Regan.
The anticipated opening of The Baldwin is around Wednesday November 11.
