South Portland welcomes return of Springfest
South Portland will be adding an extra touch of fun to its May calendar, and it has set the date for its annual Springfest celebration.
The organizers of the community party have planned two days of fun. At least 70 local businesses have chosen to support the activity, and more information about them has been made available to the public.
Attendees at the festival can show off their skills in the friendly competition of a cornhole tournament, and live bands will supply the entertainment. Youth entrepreneurs will have their own pop up marketplace, and food trucks will keep everyone fed. Hometown heroes will be recognized, and the younger attendees will find arts, crafts, and other options just for them. The organizers have also hinted at one or two surprises not mentioned in the event listing.
A new addition to the lineup for this year will be The Unstoppable Gnome Road Race at Mill Creek Park. When organizing an event, planners may be tasked with sourcing marketing materials, and a printer can lend a hand by providing logo design services.
South Portland Springfest is set to bring the fun to the area on Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17. Many of the activities will be held at Redbank Community Center, and a full listing for the weekend is available on the city’s website.
