Getting back to nature can be a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, and a South Portland program will provide an opportunity.
A series of nature walks has been organized for different trails in the community. Dates begin in mid-June and continue into autumn, before wrapping up in November. They will take place rain or shine, and each will be hosted on a drop-in basis.
The Community Trail Walks initiative has been organized by the South Portland Land Trust. Each will be led by a member of its Board, and they will share their love of nature with the attendees. The outings can be enjoyed by individuals, couples, and families, and the walkers will be encouraged to engage in mindfulness and take in the beauty around them.
Many people appreciate the chance to escape the hectic pace of daily life with a walk or other nature-based activity. A flyer printing company can be helpful in spreading the word, and once they have performed their intended task, they can be recycled into something new.
The Community Trail Walks kick off on June 20, with a visit to Trout Brook Trail and Nature Preserve. Further walks are then scheduled for July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, and November 21. Each is set for a Saturday morning starting at 9:00 am, and they will all run for one hour. Advance registration is not required to participate.
