New England kids and their parents or guardians will be making tracks this November for a gathering that bills itself as being the region's favorite, family-friendly comic con.
Kids Con is right around the corner, and South Portland's DoubleTree by Hilton will serve as its venue. It will be an interactive occasion, and there will be lots to see and do.
The function will be filled with everything for meet-and-greets with artists, comic book creators, authors and exhibitors. There will also be costumed characters strolling through the crowd and posing for photo ops, and the younger attendees will be invited to participate in Jedi training and other hands-on fun. Costume contests, a scavenger hunt, art contest and magic shows are all on the agenda, and a calmer space will be on site for anyone who needs a break.
One of the draws of the event is that the ticket holders will be going home with swag Bags filled with Promotional Products and comic Books, and there will also be scavenger hunt prizes to win. Both will be available for as long as supplies last.
November 14th will be the date for this kid-friendly comic book con, and it will open its doors at 10:00 am. Its Patch listing provides a link to purchase tickets as well as for booking a vendor space.
